1). Guidance Curriculum- Lessons aligning with FWISD It’s Not OK campaign against disrespect and character qualities to encourage personal development. There will be approximately eight lessons that will occur during the first week of every month. 2). Individual Planning-6 year Progression Plans that set up course selection for students and make a track for college/career pathways. This is accomplished by setting up GPA, class rank and personalized schedules. Students will be meeting with counselor once in the Fall and once in Spring to verify and receive consultation. Note: a copy will be sent out for educational records and as a review. 3). Responsive Services-Monitoring emotional health and wellness as well as providing opportunities to learn communication techniques and ways to be balanced in life. Referral forms are available through website, email and on campus so that all GEMS are welcome to meet with the counselor during Advisory period or as needed. 4). System Support-Being an advocate and intervening for student needs by collaborating with resources and allowing exposure through events and activities. Overseeing LPAC, 504 Chair, SEAC-INOK Advisor (2013-2014 UV4C Advisor and Fort Worth Sister Cities International liaison) and other organizations when they follow mission of the department. |
